Rosenort was the name of two villages in Prussia where Mennonites lived, Rosenort (now Różewo) in the Klein Werder region, and Rosenort (now Suchowo) in the Gross Werder region, where the Rosenort Mennonite Church was located. The name was transplanted from Prussia to the Molotschna settlement, Ukraine. From here it was transplanted by the Kleine Gemeinde to the West Reserve, Manitoba, and Jansen, Nebraska. It was also found in Swift Current, Saskatchewan; Cuauhtemoc and Durango, Mexico; and Fernheim (Chaco) and Volendam, Paraguay. (See Villages).
