Spaargaren family
Spaargaren, a Mennonite family at Aalsmeer, Dutch province of North Holland, found there from at least the early 17th century. An Oude Jan Jans Spaargaren, a middle-aged man, is named in 1649. Many members of the Spaargaren family have served the church as deacons, and Jacob Spaargaren was a preacher of the Oude Vermaning (Frisian congregation) on the Uiterweg 1786-1812, while Jan Willems Spaargaren served the same congregation as preacher from 1838 and elder 1850-circa 60.
