Limoges (Limousin, France)
Limoges, is a city and commune in France (coordinates: 45° 50′ 7.08″ N, 1° 15′ 45″ E), the préfecture of the Haute-Vienne département, and the administrative capital of the Limousin region. It was the seat of a Mennonite congregation known from correspondence of elders from the Jura with Lorenz Friedenreich in Neuwied in 1783-1784 to have been established by four families from the Jura district in Switzerland who settled there. It was, however, dissolved some years later when the families moved to Montbéliard and the southern Sundgau.
