Alderden is an old and well-known Mennonite family at Aalsmeer, Holland, Netherlands. Maarten Willemsz Alderden was a preacher of the Frisian Mennonite congregation in the early 18th century and Jacob Maartens (probably his son) an elder of the same congregation 1720-1760. A number of Alderdens have served as deacons.
