The Oakridge Hutterite Colony was founded in 1969 (Hofer says 1967)[1] as a division from the Barrickman Hutterite Colony (Cartier, Manitoba, Canada).

A daughter colony of the Oakridge Hutterite Colony is the Kamsley Hutterite Colony (Somerset, Manitoba, Canada).

In 2025 the Oakridge Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
