Ridgeview Mennonite Church (Morgantown, Kentucky, USA)
The Morgantown Mennonite Church in Morgantown, Kentucky, resulted from outreach efforts by the Berea Mennonite Church from Cannelburg, Indiana, beginning in 1951. Berea led a Summer Bible School in June 1951 in a schoolhouse 10 miles east of Morgantown. The first Mennonite worship services took place in 1952.
In 1955, Cledus Slaubaugh of the Berea congregation was ordained on 28 September 1955 for the Morgantown mission but did not move there until 1956.
In about 1979, the congregation changed its name to Ridgeview Mennonite Church.
On 18 October 1981, the Ridgeview Mennonite Church dedicated a new meetinghouse, built with the assistance of the Shore Mennonite Church.
The congregation closed in 2006.
