Schönthal Colony (Santa Cruz Department, Bolivia)
Schönthal was a Mennonite colony founded in 1967 in the Santa Cruz Department in Bolivia eventually dissolving in 1983. The population was estimated to be approximately 1000-2,500 and its land area, 10,000 hectares. The colonists came primarily from Ojo de la Yegua (Mexico).
