The Hebron Mennonite Church in Hagerstown, Maryland, USA, began in 1976 as the result of a division from the North Side Mennonite Church. There had been polarization between the "homesteaders" and "pioneers" in the North Side congregations, with the "pioneers" starting their own church that became Hebron.

For several months in late 1976, the group met in various places before arranging Sunday use of a Seventh Day Adventist building. Three years later it moved to a former Baptist church in the Paramount suburb of Hagerstown.

Ellen P. Martin was identified as "Executive Director" in 1977, serving until a pastor could be hired.

In 1979 the congregation became part of the Atlantic Coast Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
