Hope Mennonite Church is located in Pantego, North Carolina, USA. The church began in Chesapeake, Virginia, with a Wednesday evening service at the home of Ira M. Zook. Bishop Eli Kramer, and visiting minister Paul Landis, led the meeting at which the name, Hope Mennonite Church, was selected. The next day Eli Kramer informed the Deep Creek Mennonite Church and the Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church of his withdrawal from the Virginia Mennonite Conference over concerns about church polity and discipline. The first Sunday morning service of the new group was held 20 December 1959.

By 1964 in response to increasing urbanization, there was increasing interest in relocating as a congregation to a more rural, agricultural community. The first families moved to the Pantego, North Carolina area in spring 1965. Initially a school house was built, and served the small congregation for worship until a church building was completed in November 1968.

In 2018 the church had 62 members and was a member of the Nationwide Fellowship Churches. The ministerial team included Bishop Jesse Martin, Ministers Philip Beiler and Philip Graybill, and Deacon Timothy Miller.
