Maeyken Goossens, an Anabaptist martyr, burned at the stake on 6 October 1573, at Antwerp, Belgium. Van Braght'sMartyrs' Mirror names her twice, once with her full name, and once calling her only Maeyken, both times giving 1573 as the year of execution, once giving the exact date. The records published by Génard give the information that she had previously lived in the Dutch province of Zeeland, and that she was married to Hans van Obbergen, who is identical with Hans van Munstdorp.
