Hans (Jan) Vermandele (in Martyrs' Mirror called Hans van Mandel), an Anabaptist martyr, burned at the stake at Antwerp, Belgium, 19 March 1569. He had been arrested with a number of other members of the Antwerp congregation, when a meeting was held in the house of Jan Poote. He was 25 years of age and a weaver, originally from Kortrijk in Flanders.
