The Tiefengrund Rosenort Mennonite congregation at Laird, Saskatchewan began services in 1894, and formally organized in 1895. The first building was occupied in 1910, with a subsequent building program in 1958. Peter Regier is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through immigration from West Prussia in 1894.
Tiefengrund was part of the Rosenort church group. The Horse Lake congregation bought the congregation's building that was replaced in 1958.
On 24-25 July 2010 the congregation celebrated its centennial.
