Gielis (Gilles, Jelis) Mattysz (Matthijsz), an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, a surgeon at [[Middelburg (Zeeland, Netherlands)|Middelburg]], Dutch province of [[Zeeland (Netherlands)|Zeeland]], who was put to death there with Willeboort Cornelisz on 26 October 1564.
