(10 mi.) north-east of Malbork (Marienburg), 16 km. (10 mi.) west of Elbląg (Elbing), and 40 km. (25 mi.) south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk (Danzig). It was situated east of Marienau, south-east of Rückenau, south of Fürstenau, and west of Krebsfelde.

The 1776 Prussian census lists 17 Mennonite families in Klein Mausdorf with the following surnames: Barg, Dick, Friesen, Giesbrecht, Hiebert, Kopp, Neufeld, Regehr, Reimer, Seiwatzki, Wiebe, Wieler, and Wiens. In 1820, the Klein Mausdorf had 206 residents, including 87 Mennonites
Mennonites who were residents of Klein Mausdorf were members of the Rosenort Mennonite Church.
