Suncrest Hutterite Colony was founded in 1969 as a division from the Crystal Spring Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Suncrest Hutterite Colony is the Carey Hutterite Colony (St-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba, Canada).

In 2017 the Suncrest Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
