Felonito A. Scapano, b. 29 April 1919, was the founder of Missions Now, an Anabaptist and Mennonite church group in the Philippines. The independent group was formed in 1949 to engage in rural church planting, leadership training, and economic development in the congregations. Felonito served as the chairperson of Missions Now from its incorporation in 1965 until his death.

In 1971 he visited the United States looking for an American agency willing to share in the work of Missions Now while respecting its integrity as a Filipino church. The Lord led him to the Eastern Mennonite Board of Missions (Mennonite Church), which had opened a work in the Philippines earlier that year for that very purpose. Thus began a fraternal relationship which continued through the years.

Sacapano was a strong yet compassionate, sacrificial leader. He was trained in several Baptist Bible schools, but also studied business and political science in the university. Born in Romblon, central Philippines, he lived in the hometown of his wife, Maria, in Laguna (south of Manila) where they raised their seven children. He died 6 October 1987.
