Rock of Ages Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church (Kidron, Ohio, USA)
The Rock of Ages Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation near Kidron, Ohio, USA was established in 1952. The congregation began with evangelistic meetings among the Plain People of Wayne and Holmes counties. Minister Paul Swartley of Souderton, Pennsylvania, came to pastor the new congregation. Over half the members were former Amish and most of the rest former Mennonites.
Services were held first in an old schoolhouse and later in an old church in Maysville. A new church building was erected near Kidron, Ohio, in 1959. It was remodeled and doubled in size in 1984. In 2000 the congregation launched the Scenic Ridge Church of God in Christ, Mennonite about 30 miles west of the mother church.
The Rock of Ages School began in 1974 in the church basement. The congregation completed a four-room school in 1976.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Luke Troyer, Phil Schrock, John Martin, and Wade Buller.
