Plum Coulee Sommerfeld Mennonite Church (Plum Coulee, Manitoba, Canada)
The Plum Coulee Sommerfeld Mennonite congregation began services in 1917 in Plum Coulee, Manitoba. The first building was occupied in 1918, with a subsequent building program in 1958. A full basement was added in 1967. Abraham Doerksen is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through division from the Bergthaler Mennonites.
In 1993 there were about 130 members. The congregation has been affiliated with the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church. The language of worship is German and English.
Bishop John A. Friesen served in 1993 as a non-salaried congregational leader.
