Philadelphia Praise Center (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA)
The Philadelphia Praise Center began in 2005 as an independent Christian church with a particular ministry to immigrants in South Philadelphia, especially those from Indonesia. Aldo Siahaan was the founding pastor.
A year later the congregation began to build a relationship with the Franconia Mennonite Conference becausse of past Mennonite connections through Mennonite World Conference. The relationship grew until Philadelphia Praise Center officially became part of the Franconia Conference in 2008.
Philadelphia Praise Center has continued to be a multi ethnic church, with Indonesians, Burmese, Vietnamese and Americans members. In 2016 the congregation was very young in its demographic, and placed high emphasis on a praise and worship style of service.
The congregation has been greatly involved in immigration issues like human trafficking and sanctuary for undocumented immigrants.
