Open Table Mennonite Fellowship (Goshen, Indiana, USA)
The Open Table Mennonite Fellowship, Goshen, Indiana, USA, began in 2012 as an outgrown of Faith Mennonite Church, also in Goshen. Initially, in about 2007, a dozen members from Faith Mennonite Church began meeting at Faith House, a large home the Faith congregation owned in Goshen. In 2012 a group of 20 from Assembly Mennonite Church, also began to meet for worship at Faith House on Sunday mornings. The group from Faith soon joined them to form the new group.
The group chose the name Open Table Mennonite Fellowship to reflect the importance of eating together and their welcoming of people at different stages of faith.
The congregation remains committed to a house church model, shares leadership with the help of a part-time pastor/doula, and governs by consensus at monthly discernment meetings.
In 2017 the congregation joined the Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
