Milford Hutterite Colony in Wolf Creek, Montana, was founded in 1947 (Hofer says 1946[1]) as a division from the Milford Hutterite Colony (Raymond, Alberta, Canada).

Daughter colonies of the Milford Hutterite Colony (Montana) include: Springdale Hutterite Colony (White Sulpher Springs, Montana, USA); Big Sky Hutterite Colony (Cut Bank, Montana, USA); and Elk Creek Hutterite Colony (Augusta, Montana, USA).

In 2024 Milford Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
