The Matu-Chin Christian Church in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada was accepted as an emerging congregation in Mennonite Church Eastern Canada in April 2018. The congregation has met at First Mennonite Church, with worship at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings.

The congregation began because some Matu-Chin immigrants did not understand the dialect used at Chin congregations who have a Hakha-Chin cultural background. Pastoral leadership is provided by Pastor Thingsai, who had begun his ministry as a youth pastor in India under the leadership of Jehu Lian, who was former pastor of the Chin Christian Church in Kitchener.

The worshiping group in 2018 included 30 adults and children.

In late 2018 the congregation changed its name to Kitchener Emmanuel Church.
