Liberty Christian Fellowship (Clarklake, Michigan, USA)

The Liberty Christian Fellowship (originally Liberty Mennonite Church), located in Liberty Township, Jackson County, Michigan, was a mission outreach of the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Mission Board in 1946. It purchased a former Methodist church built in 1867 with a seating capacity of about 150. The Methodist church had been closed since 1936.

The first pastor was Oscar Leinbach; the congregation formally organized in March 1950.

In about 2005, the congregation changed its name to Liberty Christian Fellowship.

In November 2021, Liberty Christian Fellowship asked the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference to stop sending written materials. In 2023, the Conference declared Liberty Christian Fellowship to have withdrawn from the conference.

Liberty Mennonite Church is located in Liberty Mills, 11 miles (18 km) south of Jackson, Michigan, on Route 127. The meetinghouse is a former Methodist church built in 1867 with a seating capacity of about 150. It was closed in 1936, but was opened in 1946 under the direction of the Indiana-Michigan Mission Board. The congregation was organized in March 1950 with 13 charter members under the leadership of T. E. Schrock, bishop, and Oscar Leinbach, minister. In 1956 the membership was 21, mostly rural.
