Kripp zu Krippach und Prunberg, Johann Nepomuk von (1821-1882)

Johann Nepomuk von Kripp zu Krippach und Prunberg, a historian, was educated at the Gymnasium at Hall and the University at Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria. From 1850 to 1881 he was a teacher of geography and history at the Innsbruck Gymnasium. In connection with the history of his local community he wrote "Ein Beitrag zur Geschichte der Wiedertäufer in Tirol" (8. Programm des k. k. Staatsgymnasiums zu Innsbruck, Innsbruck, 1857, 3-60). As sources he used manuscripts in the Innsbruck archives and in the Stiftsregistratur in Brixen. By way of introduction he gives a detailed account of the Hutterian Brethren in Moravia.
