Jemaat Kristen Indonesian Anugerah (Sierra Madre, California, USA)
The Jemaat Kristen Indonesian Anugerah (Grace International Christian Fellowship) in Sierra Madre, California, USA began in 1992. Its origins began in 1989 when Rev. Virgo and Jeanne Handojo met with Ms. Dina Boon, and were asked to clean her house of Ibu Dina Boon from dark powers. The International House Fellowship was born in the home of Dina Boon’s mother.
By the end of 1990, this family gathering had developed into 30-50 people from 10-13 different nationalities. Through this alliance, the Jemaat Kristen Indonesian Anugerah was born on 19 September 1992 at the Free Methodist Church in Pasadena. The first service was held on 20 September 1992. A few months later the congregation moved to the Sierra Madre Congregational Church.
Initially, JKIA became part of the Pacific Southwest Mennonite Conference. When that conference was reorganized, the congregation joined the Franconia Mennonite Conference in fall 2017. It had strong ties to the Franconia Conference's Indonesian-speaking congregations in Philadelphia.
In 2021 the congregation was part of the Mosaic Mennonite Conference. The minister was Lydia De Jesus.
