Hudson Lake Mennonite Church (New Carlisle, Indiana, USA)
The Hudson Lake Mennonite Church developed from outreach by members of the Olive Mennonite Church and Holdeman Mennonite Church. In 1950, a Summer Bible School was held in a community building, soon followed by Sunday school. Clarence A. Shank, the pastor at Olive, provided leadership in the early years.
In 1951, the Olive Mennonite Church purchased lots in Hudson Lake. It built a basement church in 1952 and completed the building in 1953. The building was dedicated on 19 April 1953.
Hudson Lake Mennonite Church was the first predominately Caucasian church in the Mennonite Church (MC) to have a Hispanic pastor when Mario Bustos served beginning in 1976.
The congregation added a new entrance in 2005/2006 making the church more accessible.
