Gethsemane Hispanic Mennonite Church (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada)
Saskatoon, SK. Met at First Mennonite Church. Pastor Braulio Nicasio served in 1989 as a congregational leader. The congregation dissolved in 1990. It was affiliated with the General Conference Mennonite Church. The language of worship was Spanish.
The congregation began services in 1989. Braulio Nicasio is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the General Conference Mennonite Church and local Saskatoon churches. It began as a Sunday school class at First Mennonite in 1988. The diverse theological understandings within the congregation and difficulties in adjusting to the Canadian culture led to the decision to cease services in November 1990.
The Spanish name of the congregation was Iglesia Latino-Americana Gethzemani.
