Fries (Friesch) Studiefonds, a fund of the Friesche Societeit (Conference of Friesland), founded in 1859 after the Societeit had resolved not to appoint any more ministerial candidates, but to support young Frisian Mennonites studying at the Amsterdam Mennonite Seminary, or preparing for the Seminary by studying in a secondary school. During the first 60 years of the existence more than 30 ministerial students received assistance.
