Eden Life Church (Kansas City, Missouri, USA)
The Eden Life Church in Kansas City, Missouri, began when the South Central Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA, in July 2016 invited Omot and Hanna Aganya and their children to move from Minnesota to help start a multiethnic congregation. They began a congregation featuring three Sunday services. Each is conducted in a different language: Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia; Anyuwaa, the language of the Anuak people of Ethiopia and South Sudan; and English.
In 2019, Eden Life Church received $30,000 towards the cost of its meetinghouse, purchased in September 2017 from an Assembly of God congregation. By then, a fourth language—Swahili—had been added for persons from Congo.
In 2023, the South Central Mennonite Conference withdrew from Mennonite Church USA and, in 2024, chose to become a district of LMC: a Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches. Eden Life Church thus became part of LMC.
