Dozy, Jan Dionijs (1892-1965)

Jan Dionijs Dozy , b. 25 April 1892, d., 30 July 1965, married Henriette I. C. de Stoppelaar and served first as Mennonite pastor in West-Terschelling (1922-1926), Leeuwarden (1926-1933), and Amsterdam (1933-1956). In 1933 he earned a doctor of theology degree. He became a member of the executive committee of the Algemene Doopsgezinde Sociëteit (Dutch Mennonite general conference), of which he was for a time vice-chairman. He was curator of the Amsterdam Mennonite Theological Seminary. His particular additional interest and service was in interchurch ecumenical relationships.
