Dobbert, Alexander (19th century)

Alexander Dobbert was pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Prishib near the Molotschna settlement at the time of the activities of Eduard Wüst and the founding of the Mennonite Brethren Church. Peter M. Friesen reprints statements along these lines. He sympathized strongly with Wüst's zeal for Christ and in his report about the events that led to the founding of the Mennonite Brethren Church he takes a mediating position with strong sympathies toward the new group.
