Deutsches Mennonitisches Missionskomitee (DMMK; German Mennonite Mission Committee). At a mission conference in The Netherlands, in which the representatives of West Germany, France, Switzerland, and Holland participated, it was agreed that the Mennonites in each nation would form their own mission committee, from which a European committee would be organized (Europäisches Mennonitisches Evangelisationskomitee, EMEK). This led to the founding of the DMMK in 1951 by the Conference of the Mennonites of South Germany (later Verband deutscher Mennonitengemeinden) and the cooperation of several congregations from North Germany. By 1986 all West German Mennonite congregations were participating in DMMK.

The first missionary was sent to Java in 1955 by EMEK. Following her return in 1968 another missionary was sent in 1971. In 1986 DMMK was carrying on a village mission in Neumühle, in the Palatinate, operated largely by American missionaries. One couple and a congregational assistant were working there. A missionary couple was also at work in Kaiserslautern together with the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Südwestdeutscher Mennonitengemeinden (Task Force of Southwest German Mennonite Congregations). A missionary from Stuttgart and a couple from Waldbröhl were working in the Chad under EMEK. DMMK thus strives to make its contribution to world mission.
