Canboro Amish Mennonite Settlement (Canboro Township, Ontario, Canada)
Canboro Township, Haldimand County, Ontario. This small Amish settlement began in 1905. Valentin Gerber was ordained and served as leader of the small community. The settlement resulted from colonization by members of the East Zorra and Wellesley congregations in Oxford and Waterloo Counties. By 1915 the community ended due to poor quality water and theological differences.
