The Brampton Mennonite Brethren congregation began services in 1978. It originated through outreach of the Yorkdale Community Church, and its original members were from that congregation.

Pastor Art Willms served as a congregational leader in 1982. In 1982 there were 20 members. The congregation dissolved in 1983. It had been affiliated with the Ontario Mennonite Brethren Conference. Thus Brampton Mennonite Brethren was part of the Mennonite Brethren segment of the Mennonite "family." The language of worship was English.
