Botschafter der Wahrheit, the official German organ of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, was founded in June 1897 by John Holdeman, who was also its editor until his death in 1900. In 1949 it was an 8-page semimonthly, 6 ½ x 9 ½ in., published in Manitoba. Other editors were in succession, John Dueck, Wilhelm Giesbrecht, Jacob T. Wiebe, A. G. Ensz, and again Jacob T. Wiebe, the editor in 1949. In 1949 its circulation was about 750. Publication ended in 1969. Messenger of Truth continued as the official denominational paper.
