Daughter colonies of Big Stone Hutterite Colony include Lismore Hutterite Colony (Clinton, Minnesota) and Pleasant Valley Hutterite Colony (Flandreau, South Dakota).
In 2012 Big Stone Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
