Bethany Elevation Community Church (New York, New York, USA)
The Bethany Church in New York City, New York, USA was established in about 2003. The congregation started at the initiative of Pastor Abraham Alex Tanusaputera, Senior Pastor of Bethany Church of Indonesia. He mandated Yacub Limanto to initiate the outreach in Queens, New York.
After a month of holding a prayer meeting at home with a group of seven, the congregation agreed to seek a place of worship. Until then, the Bethany Church was renting a room from another local church.
In time, Pastor Limanto met with Beny Krisbianto from Franconia Mennonite Conference and developed a relationship with other Indonesian congregations. When it became part of the Franconia Conference it took the name Bethany Elevation Community Church.
In 2021 the congregation was part of the Mosaic Mennonite Conference. The minister was Yacub Limanto. The language of worship in 2021 was Indonesian.
