Upland Hutterite Colony in Letcher, South Dakota was founded in 1988 as a division from Spring Valley Hutterite Colony.

Daughter colonies of the Upland Hutterite Colony are: Elmendorf Christian Community (Mountain Lake, Minnesota, USA) and Rosewood Hutterite Colony (Lamaberton, Minnesota, USA).

In 2025 the Upland Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
