Plainview Hutterite Colony was founded in 1974 (Hofer says 1973)[1] as a division from the Waldheim Hutterite Colony (Elie, Manitoba, Canada).
A daughter colony of the Plainview Hutterite Colony is the Boundary Lane Hutterite Colony (Elkhorn, Manitoba, Canada).
In 2025 the Plainview Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
