Fast, Bernhard J. (1857-1917)
Bernhard J. Fast, Mennonite teacher and minister, was born 23 July 1857 Halbstadt, Russia, died 17 October 1917 in the Terek Mennonite settlement. Fast was a teacher for 27 years, and minister 10 years; he served as minister and leader of the Azov Forestry Service Camp for five years. He lived in village No. 7 of the Terek settlement and was killed by nomadic tribesmen.
