ClearwaterHutterite Colony was founded in 1960 as a division from the Poplar Point Hutterite Colony

Newhaven Hutterite Colony in Argyle, Manitoba, is a daughter colony.

In 2012 Clearwater Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 1 colony. The minister was Joseph Wollman and the manager was Edward Wollman.
