Monatsblätter
Monatsblätter aus Bethel College, later Monatsblätter, successor to School and College Journal, was the 16-page, 6-1/2 x 9, monthly periodical published by the board of directors of Bethel College January 1903-June 1918, when it was succeeded by the Bethel College Monthly, an all-English publication. From January 1903 to December 1909 it was a separate publication issued in a parallel series with the Bethel College Monthly. From January 1909 to June 1918 it was published in combination with the Bethel College Monthly, appearing ten times a year during this period. Its purpose was to promote the denominational and religious interests of Mennonites through the publication of articles of Biblical, historical, and general cultural interest. Its aim was to gain friends for higher education among Mennonites. David Goerz, its editor 1903-1908, wrote extensively on deaconess work and his travels to India and Russia. Other editors were P. H. Richert, P. J. Wedel, Emil R. Riesen, J. H. Langenwalter, J. F. Baker, and H. H. Wiebe.
