Bruggencate, ten, family
Ten Bruggencate is a Dutch family, originally from the district of Twente, province of Overijssel, one branch of which belonged to the Mennonites. Jan Bernards ten Bruggencate, b. 1833 at Almelo, d. 1871 at Noordbroek, was the minister of the Noordbroek congregation 1859-1871. Bernard ten Bruggencate, b. 1839 at Almelo, d. 1903 at Groningen, served Baard in 1863-1874 and Noordbroek in 1874-1900. Henriette C. ten Bruggencate, b. 1893, married A. Voorhoeve, who served first the Protestant church of Batavia, Dutch East Indies, and later the Mennonite church of Rotterdam in 1936-1948.
