Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Baltimore (Baltimore, Maryland, USA)
The Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland, began in 1991 as a Bible study group. Later, the group started to have church services on Sunday afternoons. In 1996, it became affiliated with the Lancaster Mennonite Conference, which had been at the forefront of Mennonite missions in Ethiopia. In 1998, the church incorporated, and in 2004, it acquired its own building and facilities. Worship is in Amharic, though by 2009, the children and youth group began to function in English.
The congregation has supported mission outreach in rural areas of Ethiopia.
