Suncrest Hutterite Colony near Coronation, Alberta, was founded in 1983 as a division from the Castor Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Suncrest Hutterite Colony is the Hnidy Farms Hutterite Colony (Wakaw, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2024 the Suncrest Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
