Smiley Hutterite Colony near Smiley, Saskatchewan, was founded in 1968 as a division from the New Rockport Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of the Smiley Hutterite Colony is the Springfield Hutterite Colony (Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2024 the Smiley Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
