Hidden Valley Hutterite Colony was founded in 1968 as a division from the Sturgeon Creek Hutterite Colony.

A daughter colony of Hidden Valley Hutterite Colony is the Rosebank Hutterite Colony (Miami, Manitoba, Canada).

In 2023 the Hidden Valley Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
