The Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, USA, began in Bible School programs launched by the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church at the Lee Town Mission in 1955. It began a Sunday school program in 1957, followed by a formal congregation.

The Sugar Creek congregation built a new church building in a newer area of Mt. Pleasant in 1958. The first service in the new Pleasant View Church was held on 19 October 1958. The next 10 years saw significant growth in the congregation, requiring the addition of a larger sanctuary with a basement and increasing the size of the fellowship room, kitchen, and classrooms. This building was dedicated on 30 June 1968.

As part of the realignment of the Mennonite Church (MC) and General Conference Mennonite Church into Mennonite Church USA, Pleasant View Mennonite was among the congregations that joined the new Central Plains Mennonite Conference in 2000.

After the departure of Beth Peachey Miller, the congregation sold its building at 1101 North Lucas Street. In 2023 the remainder of the congregation continued to meet on Sunday mornings at Grace Community Friends Church in Mt. Pleasant.

In 2023 the congregation remained part of the Central Plains Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
