The Whistler Community Church in Whistler, British Columbia originated in 1977, when a Bible club was started in Whistler in the local elementary school. In 1979 a small group of people began meeting for Sunday services in the Skier's Chapel at Whistler's Creekside. The group was led by Ray Wiens, who moved with his family to Whistler in 1978, and was assisted by Willingdon Mennonite Brethren Church.

In 1980 the group formally organized and joined the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches in November of that year. The congregation outgrew the Skiers' Chapel and began to meet in the Myrtle Philip Community Centre in April 1993. In January 2003 the church received title to a 1.74 acre piece of property at 7226 Fitzsimmons Drive that had been donated by a local family. On 3 October 2021 the conregation held its first service in its new church building on Fitzsimmons Drive, which includes an auditorium with seating for 250 people, a fellowship hall and kitchen with seating for 120, and Sunday school, youth, nursery, and office space.

In 2010 the congregation had an average weekly attendance of 97.
