Standard Hutterite Colony near Standard, Alberta, was founded in 1987 as a division from the Acadia Hutterite Colony (Oyen, Alberta, Canada).

A daughter colony of the Standard Hutterite Colony is the Midwest Hutterite Colony (Standard, Alberta, Canada).

In 2021 the Standard Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
